Who We Are
Just Pools was established in 2008 by David and Lorraine in the central Algarve. David started with a single pool on a weekly maintenance round. The work grew through referrals, and before long Lorraine had taken over operations so David could be out on site full-time.
Eighteen years later, the business covers the full Algarve coastline for installations and repairs, from Vila Real de Santo António to Sagres, with regular maintenance concentrated around Albufeira and the central region. The team has grown, but the structure has not changed. Enquiries are still handled personally, and David still carries out site visits himself.
What We Do
Our work covers three areas: year-round pool maintenance for private villas and rental properties, supply and installation of pool equipment, and pool refurbishment.
We maintain pools on a weekly basis throughout the year. Pools in the Algarve do not shut down for winter, and neither do we. A large proportion of our maintenance clients are property owners based overseas who rely on a consistent service in their absence.
The equipment we supply and install comes from a small number of European manufacturers whose products we have tested in Algarve conditions ourselves:
Electronic Leak Detection
We are the only company in Portugal with electronic pool leak detection equipment. Our kit locates leaks in pipework, fittings and the pool structure with a 99% success rate, without the need to empty the pool.

We do not subcontract. Every installation, repair and maintenance visit is carried out by our own team. We carry out a site visit before quoting on any project and provide a written specification before work begins. We work with the same manufacturers because we have seen their products perform over repeated seasons in the Algarve.
